COMPATIBILITY

The loaders were created for operation with windows XP, but will work on earlier versions of windows. Software within our loader folder will work with all
versions of windows. It is recommended to update your  windows at least once a month-

LOADERS

RaptorNexteli has many  off line and online loader's, and backup Java loader's. Commonly used online loader is webjal, although unless you create your own
webjal server most version's are obsolete. Webjal if installed properly will work very well, but it might give you some obstacles-and in this support section we
will cover them. Offline loader is myjal. The app will install the USB drivers during set-up, and is extremely simple to use.
MYJAL TROUBLESHOOTING

Myjal is an offline loader, there is not a need to be connected to the Internet when uploading to your phone. For myjal set-up,  operation eg: loading ring
tones and wallpapers, and
basic troubleshooting click here. Below is a work around for common problems. The loader in our Loader folder is already
patched and ready to use. Non members: Remember you need to patch up myjal right after installing it, that is unless you have a full version. And please do
not use their registration tools, hardware id tool, or initiate any communication with them.

"After using myjal for some time I see this pop up and I cannot use myjal anymore"

You are seeing this because you did not use the patcher for myjal right after installing it. Use the steps below to patch it up. You might need to un install
myjal and delete any trace of the application for this to work again. NOTE: ensure that myjal is not running when you are performing the steps below.

-Locate your copy of myjal folder
-Locate the patcher for myjal
-You should see an icon which says myjal Apollo edition
-Right click and select copy
-Go into your Program files folder (usually under the C drive)
-Locate the folder that says myteam
-Open the folder that says myjal Apollo edition
-Right click on a blank space in the folder and select paste
-A warning will display "myjal Apollo edition already exists would you like to replace"
-click yes.
That will be it, myjal will never expire on you.

"I am trying to upload a ring tone and it will only display .mid files in the dialog box"

When selecting ring tones "Midi Ringtones (*.mid)" will only display if the loader is not connected to the phone.  If .mid is the only file type option, cancel,
goto the top of the loader and press the "Connect To Phone" button.  Once connected the available ringtone formats for the model of phone will be available
.

"When I press the "Connect To Phone" button, a corrupted message appears"

This is a known bug and should have been corrected by now, unless you have an older version of myjal.  The message indicates that the features must be
unlocked before connecting to the phone.

"When I start MyJAL, I get a "Dev Center" error message".

System registry information required for MyJAL to function is missing or corrupted.
Below are ways to correct this issue

Connecting the phone, a message "unable to find phone attached"
appears".

When establishing a connection to the phone, the software is unable to locate a
phone device to initialize.  A list of common causes are listed below:
1. Under options the "Enable USB Connection Support" is not check, if using USB data cable.
2. Serial Communication settings are not correct.  Serial data cable only.
3. The data cable is not connected firmly and/or correctly.
4. Data cable is damaged.
5. The battery charge is not efficient.  Requires at least 2 bars.

"A message "No USB drivers installed" appears when connecting the phone?"

If you are attempting to connect the phone via a USB data cable, USB drivers
are required to establish communication with the phone.  Prior to enabling USB support
under the options page, the USB driver must be installed.  If the USB support is
enabled prior, the above message will appear. To install the USB drivers are
as listed below:
1. Goto -> Start menu button/Programs/MyTEAM Software/Driver Installation Wizard.
2. Start the installation and select "Next" until the installation process begins.
3. Click "Finish" when the installation is done.

the installation.  Failure to do so will cause the drivers to install
incorrectly and/or become corrupted.

"The filename of the file I am uploading is too long, how do I change this?"

Filenames are limited in name length.  The maximum number of characters a filename can have
is 20 characters including the file extension.  This is not a limitation of MyJAL but the phone
itself.  If you have filenames that exceed the name length, simply rename the file to a shorter
length.

You would need to rename the file so that it does not exceed the maximum filename length.

Eg. myfilename.wav is only 14 characters: meets length requirement.
Eg. mylargestfilename.wav is 21 characters: exceeds length requirement.

"When uploading a ringtone I get a "General Communications Error."

This error message is by design.  What this error message indicates is the file being
uploaded may not be in the correct format.

Below are default recommended format settings for media formats supported:
MP3 format: 8 kHz | 32 kbps or 48 kbps | Mono PCM

Wave format: 8 kHz | 8 kbps | Mono PCM.

Midi format: Type 0

"When installing the USB drivers, it says "Service Pack 1" is required".

The USB drivers for Windows XP require that Service Pack 1 (SP1) or higher to be
installed.  The service pack may be download from Microsoft at
www.microsoft.com or
use Windows Update.

"When installing myjal I get a windows XP error "this has not passed Microsoft etc.driverss is common for software or drivers that have not

USB DRIVERS

USB drivers will be automatically installed when you  install our loader. If you purchased a data cable only from us, and need the USB drivers  they can be
downloaded directly from Motorola

NOTE: Do not stick your USB cable in your computer at any time before installing the USB drivers. If you do this other drivers for it will be installed and it will not
work. To fix the problem you will have to find where you installed those drivers and Un install them, and then install the correct ones then plug in the cable. This
sounds easier than it is.

If all fails follow the steps below to update the drivers manually - For this step ensure that your data cable is plugged in to the PC and cell phone. Go into to
start menu and go into control panel-double click on system-click the hardware tab-click on device manager-select modems-you should see "Motorola iden
USB modem" right click and select update driver-select install from a specific location and click next-select browse-direct the installation to your USB
drivers location direct the updater to this folder and it will automatically select the driver to update-click next-a warning will display "this has not passed
windows testing" click continue anyway- after updating is done restart your windows, and USB drivers will be installed.

COMMUNICATION ERRORS

If you are connected to the phone and all is loading fine until the end and it bounces with a communication error then the file needs to be converted again. It is a
bad file not connection. See the how to folder under tutorials  for info on how to convert and create Ringtones.

Connection problems - Click preferences. Make sure that if you are using a
USB cable that the USB button is checked. If you are using a serial cable the USB button
is unchecked. Also with a serial cable make sure the right com port is selected. Valid com ports are usually 1 through 4. Check the baud rate in your phone it
should be set to auto. It is under settings initial setup in the 2 digit phones and under advanced in the 3 digit phones.

If you are using a USB cable try the following:

With the phone and cable plugged in go to control panel. Then click system. Click advanced and device manager. Look toward the bottom in the USB (universal
serial bus) section for an unknown device (could be yellow or red). Right click it and remove it. Then exit from there. While still in control panel go to modems you
will see Motorola or iden USB modem right click it and remove it. Now reboot the computer with the phone and cable still plugged in. It will start up and say it
found new hardware click automatically install. It should be done now.

When webjal is still giving you USB problems?

OK go into the loaders folder under tutorial sub directory USB and copy and paste this in the webjal program directory. Double click it and it will fix the
register...only 2 other things.!1st is make sure the baud rate of the phone is set to auto. It is under setting initial set up or settings advanced. Be sure the USB
button on webjal is checked under options and be sure the rate is set to auto there. If that doesn't work  drop down the baud rate on both of them to 300 and
try it.

The 2nd is the bottom connector. It gets cruddy and will not make a good connection. Stop by any local radio shack and pick up a pen contact cleaner Catalog #:
64-4341. They will have no idea what you want so bring the part number. It looks like a magic marker.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If all else fails!Winzip a serial cable. It is slow extremely slow. But hey look at all you are going through. The serial cable is a direct connection and does not
require any drivers. Thus saving you allot of headache if you are running into problems.
